I make these videos primarily for myself. I am fortunate enough to be able to travel and I need a way to remember my experiences. By making these videos, I am also able to share the experience with friends and family along with possibly helping out other travelers plan their own adventures.

日本に来てくれてありがとう。楽しめましたか? あなたのビデオに、愛を感じました。本当に 有り難う。
The culture and the people were the best part. Everyone was kind and respectful. It was very refreshing to be in a society that you actually felt safe and that if you had a problem someone out of the blue would be there to help. I was also surprised how affordable it was, at least for now.
@@Cognato 早速の返信 ありがとうございます。次回も楽しみにしております。

Good Video! Like1000💕
Thank you!
The drawing automaton is amazing!😮
Maps like that help me visualize the trip.
It's amazing that that technology started so long ago.
beautiful video :)
Thanks
this was so cute and peaceful !!
We highly recommend walking along the rooftop view corridor of JR Kyoto Station. It is free of charge.
Thanks for sharing, love the video and your commentary. Best wishes to you and your partner !
Thank you!
A nice breath of fresh air than other Japanese travel videos. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing from your eyes.
Thanks
😳 *Promosm*
So beautiful
You two are very cute! Thank you for sharing your trip 😊
Sorry to hear you got caught in a tourist-trap bakery on day 1. Most Dutch eat breakfast at home or go to a local bakery by bike, meaning the real bakeries aren't in the city center but rather close to the neighbourhoods. Some shops like HEMA also have breakfast rooms where many locals go to grab a bite. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the trip!
Thank you for the advice. We have been back since then and have enjoyed some very good local food.
Great vlog!
A stunning video! My cousin wants me to join her on a trip to Japan.
I would not hesitate. The people are so nice. We felt very safe if that is a concern.
Thank you for sharing your tip to Tokyo! What a magnificent place to see and the museum a marvel. Victor you did and excellent job and I felt like it was there with you both!
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
My dream country
I can't believe how friendly everyone was. The people were the best part.
'PromoSM' 😘
Tearned that geography classes in some other countries teach people that Denali & Aconcagua are on the same continent.
Great video!! What's the name of the Crepe place?
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sorry I don't remember the name of the crepe place. A lot of the street vendors make some of the best.
Enjoyed very much. Leaving for Colmar birthday trip next month.
Congratulations on your upcoming trip. It's a magical area.
a very interesting video! thank you a lot
Thanks. I am glad you enjoyed it.
This was a great vlog, bravo 👏
Thanks
Don’t make travel shows like they used to.
I'm just trying to document my travels so I can remember them and hopefully help guide others in their travels as well. I hope you watch my other trips.
Yeah, I like you style of travel videos
What is a CALIFORNIA SEQUOIA tree that is 200 years old doing in Colmar France?
I was shocked as well.
Who is the guide? She is quite fluent in english*
Her "english" name was Libby. All the guides were arraigned by China Highlights. When the children are young and in school they get to pick a English name. Sort of a nickname to use when dealing with people outside of China.
@@Cognato thanks for replying. I am living in china :)
I just watched your Colmar/Alsace video and we have a lot in common - making travelogues of our adventures and putting them on UA-cam! Your Colmar reminded me of our Bruges! If interested, Google: werrenskis You Tube Videos to find over 200 from all over the world! I'd love to communicate with you directly, by email but don't know how to do it! I didn't even catch your name. Now I'll watch Stralbourg, where we began our Alsace bike trip in 2002! We ended in Colmar. Such a beautiful area, the most quintessentially quaint villages anywhere!
Hi there, I’m really enjoying your European, Scottish and Iceland videos. You guys obviously love travel as much as I do. May I ask, what time of year did you visit Iceland? It’s on my bucket list so am interested in what month you were there. You are lucky to have explored lots of places. I’m sure you miss travelling as much as I do at the moment! Let’s hope things ease soon. Thanks, Marg
We were there in June. We passed the artic circle close to the the summer solstice when the sun doesn't set. Yes we miss traveling but we hope to be able to start again maybe next year. I am slowly workings on reediting out driving trip through Europe that we took in 2012. Makings less of a narrated slide show. While redoing the research I was surprised how little has changed in 9 years.
I am enjoying your videos as we hear France may open inJune
So glad I found your travel videos. Very nicely done. Hoping to get back to Europe soon
I am glad you enjoy them. I am working on redoing the videos of the driving trip through Europe that we did in 2012. They were some of the first I did and are a bit crude. In redoing the research on them I was surprised how little has changed.
Very nice Hawaii vacation blog video. Other "bloggers" just play loud irritating music over and over and I have no idea where they were. Waste of time. We are going to BI in June, looking for travel blogs of BI.
The Castle is a German castle the French stole. It was the castle of the Staufen family
This Castle is a French castle, because he is in France. The Alhambra in Spain is a spain castle, not a muslim castle. ;)
Thanks for the video, enjoyed your commentary..🤗❤️🇨🇦
I am glad you enjoyed it.
You gotta be kidding me with this video.
Why did you say that???
You made a quality informational video. Ignore the derogatory comments. No travel video is all-encompassing. As far as pizza/burger, at least you show menus. Great work!
I am from thePHilippines!I am a Hustory teacher so i wanna know why Alsace Lorraine is a pt of conflict during WWI
From what I know it is just the region has been claimed by both France and Germany over the years. I really don't know the details.
The clock was simply amazing!! The information you provided was interesting and very informative ... Thank You and job well done
Your videos are wonderful and very informative .... I commend you 🤗
Thank you.
You really deserve a lot more subscribers! I just started a channel myself, so I know how it feels to be making good videos but not being able to show it to other people. Anyways, great contents!!!
Completely idiotic video. In Beaune, you have gougeres, escargot, jambon persille, boeuf Bourguignon, and coq au vin, not pizza, then complain.
I know. What can I say. 🤷
Please excuse the tone of my last reply. Let’s try again. To have shown up in provincial France at 2pm expecting restaurants open is an understandable mistake. The French, outside of Paris, eat lunch at exactly noon, when all the businesses and shops close, and restaurants open. If your schedule does not permit eating at noon, may I suggest strolling down the Rue Monge, right in the historic center, which has the best charcuterie (deli) in town, the Charcuterie Raillard, and a very good bread bakery. You can then head to the main square, visiting the Fromagerie Hess and get some cheese. Bread, cheese, cold cuts. Buy a bottle of Bourgogne Rouge at any shop, then onto a bench on the Place Carnot! Perfect. Please do yourself a favor and try the local cuisine, skip the international foods, and have fun! It really helps to live like a local in Beaune. Again, apologies for being less than constructive in my last comment.
Almost forgot, it’s understandable that you found Burgundy wines to be a bit tart and acidic for your tastes. They are designed to complement food, and are a fantastic partner for the rich dishes of the region such as Oeufs en Meurette (poached eggs and bacon with Pearl onions with a wine based brown sauce, topped with fresh croutons). If you’re used to California wines, fruit forward, low in acid and tannin, which are designed to win awards when tasted alone, your unenthusiastic response is easy to understand. Try some burgundy with a rich winey stew, and you might just become a Burgundy lover after all.
Did you visit the towns near Colmar with your own rental car, or go on a day-trip tour? If you had your own car, could you please tell me if finding parking in the small towns was a problem. (We have plans to go here in early fall, 2020.) Thanks!
We had our own car. The only time we had a problem parking was at the new wine festival. After driving around for a short time we got lucky and found a parking space just about a 5 minute walk to the center of town. The other towns had plenty of parking available.
@@Cognato many thanks for the "reconnaissance"!
@@raymondmiller5098 enjoy it! It is a very special place.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. What time of year were you there? I see this was published in July ‘16, were you there in June?
We took our trip through France in late September.
